Acton, Ontario's Jeff McEnery has quickly established himself as one of the fastest-rising stars in Canadian comedy. He is a graduate of Humber College's Comedy: Writing and Performance Program and won the college's Best First Year Stand-Up Award in 2004. In 2005, Jeff won the prestigious "Tim Sims Encouragement Award" and followed that up by winning "Yuk Yuk's $25,000 Great Canadian Laugh Off." in 2006 and “Best Stand-Up Newcomer” at the 2007 Canadian Comedy Awards. Currently the youngest performer touring for Yuk Yuk's, Jeff has already appeared at the "Halifax Comedy Festival", the "Winnipeg Comedy Festival", the "Just for Laughs Comedy Festival" and the "Global ComedyFest" in Vancouver. As an actor, Jeff has appeared on the Family Channel's Naturally Sadie and recently made his feature film debut in Camille sharing the screen with such stars as James Franco, Sienna Miller and David Carradine. For the past two years Jeff has starred in CTV News' highly popular "Many Happy Returns" ad campaign and his short film "Behind the Funny" has aired nationally on The Comedy Network. |
